The story
This property is part of the Phelps Tract, a 1,200-acre parcel of land granted by Joseph Brant in 1804 to his friend and advisor Epaphras Lord Phelps. Phelps advised that the Six Nations remain neutral during the War of 1812 and was forced to flee to America, leaving behind his wife and children. Now it is home to Linda Phelps Guest and Doug Guest, who operate a bed and breakfast.
