The story

Over the years, quilt designs have reflected the values and times of the eras in which they were made.

Many patterns, which originated with religious names, were given new names to reflect the views of that particular era. A good example is this design-”Jacob`s Ladder”, also known as “The Underground Railroad”.

The colours chosen for this barn quilt are gold, green and white, in fond memory of Norman Campbell, as these were the colours of his horse racing silks.
