The story
The design and name for the quilt was born from the love of Allis Chalmers tractors and equipment that is very much a part of our family. The third generation has already become very interested in restoring old tractors. Our oldest grandson spent as much time here as he could this past winter and spring restoring a “B” Allis with his Papa. Our grandsons are also all very excited that Nana is making them each an Allis Chalmers quilt for their beds. Larry was born and raised here on the farm where we live and we bought it in 1976 from his mother. It is here that we raised our three children who have all married and blessed us with 7 grandchildren. Our hopes are to spend our retirement years here on the farm where we can continue to enjoy our family and hobbies.
