The story
My husband Darren and our three school-aged children, Olivia, Max and Gabby farm a beef feedlot, cash crop and small sheep herd operation. My quilt is called “Grandma’s Love” and was inspired by my Grandma. It is a tribute to her love for quilting plus the love she sewed into each stitch for hours on end as she created beautiful masterpieces for each of her children and grandchildren. We will enjoy and cherish them forever. The traditional patchwork quilt block pattern I used is called “Wyoming Valley Star” and the colours were chosen from life on the farm: red barns and green and golden crops.
