The story

Choosing ‘The Scottish Thistle’ was an easy and perfect choice for a barn quilt design to adorn their barn. Both this couple`s families are descendants from Scotland; the McLachlan`s (Brian) from Kilmartin in Argyleshire and Murdoch`s (Holly`s grandfather) from Edinburgh. Brian and Holly are the fifth generation of McLachlan`s to live on this farm since it was originally purchased from The Canada Land Company in 1836.
