Wigwam
The story
Wigwam – was the shelter of the Anishinaabe family. Around it, the creation of baskets, mats and deer hide clothing took place during the winter months by the women. Within it, the women and children laughed and told the stories of Waynaboozhoo.
The wigwam provided the security and warmth needed to shelter families from the elements. Its shape is that of a womb of a mother which provides the same protection for her unborn child
