The story

We, Robert and Nikki, along with our children Melanie, Gavin and Danielle, are the third generation to milk cows here on Wynja Farms. Gerrit and Teresa Wynja established the family farm in 1957 with 40 milking cows. Robert’s parents, Allen and Frances, continued to expand the farm by putting in a parlour in 1984. Currently, Allen, Brian and Robert Wynja run the farm and several acres. A new Robot dairy barn was built in 2017 with two robots milking 75 cows. The pattern for the barn quilt is based on a quilt made by Frances Wynja for Robert and Brian. Frances passed away from cancer in 2015. Frances had a passion for quilting and made many beautiful quilts.
