The story
Duncan & Eileen’s nieces, Dianne (McTavish) Lyons and Nancy Carroll, painted the quilt block for them. The maple leaves reminded them of family picnics in the spring and fall in the woods.
Grandpa (Archie) and Uncle Dunc also had a maple syrup business for many years. Duncan is the third generation of McTavish’s to live on this farm.
